Nathan Bech believes we have a duty to be good stewards of our planet. He has made a commitment to ensure his campaign is 100% carbon neutral.
Climate Change
The great weight of scientific evidence shows that some global warming is occurring. Like John McCain, Nathan Bech believes it is in our best interest to take action that reduces the amount of carbon in our atmosphere. At the very least we will improve the quality of the air we breathe and leave a cleaner planet for future generations. Nathan also understands that the United States cannot address this challenge independently. In a few short years, China and India will surpass the United States in fossil fuel consumption. Real solutions to this issue must include diplomacy which engages emerging nations to ensure efficacy and protect the American economy.
Our National Parks
Nathan Bech has spent his life hiking in our National Parks and boating our American waterways. He believes our National Parks are one of our greatest treasures and that we must protect our open spaces and majestic vistas. He is committed to the maintenance and protection of these National treasures. We need to ensure that these resources are both available to and experienced by our nation’s children for generations to come.
Clean Water & Clean Air
It makes little sense to pollute the air we breathe and water we drink. Nathan Bech like all Americans supports high standards for preservation of our atmosphere and waterways. Furthermore, Bech would take the strongest action against industries which stall and evade the clean-up of polluted sites.
